It is about time I shared my own opinion about the lineup and the best pattern of play. I will also suggest the most tactical substitutions actually needed to bag three points every game.
What really happened in that game? Can somebody tell me what the manager was thinking?
Wait, it seems we do not even have the victory charisma anymore. It was saddening to see my guys go down at such an early period of the game. That basically kills players morale.
In my own opinion, I’ll express what happened in the game and then what is supposed to actually be happening that is going to practically work. I have remained in this stand for several years and I actually can profer a reasonable way out. How I wish the manager can see this.
It was a complete show of underclass performance. The boys were fidgeting as if it was their first ever competitive outing in 100 years. They lost every ball just after every other lost chance. It was basic back to back messy display.
A large crop of them couldn’t even find their position on the pitch. They ran helter-skelter and yet there was no infusion of passion flowing around. They were so rigid that they almost even broke their backs on attacks.
The goalkeeper had a terrible day. He has not really showed his worth since he got back in from Russia. It may be the Russian weather 😃. I hope he shakes it off as soon as he can, because I need him back on form.
The defenders were full of errors. The first goal was obviously a complete error. I saw the goal the moment Juan Mata was passed with a nutmeg. He didn’t even try to get the ball back. Bailey could not control the park. He ran like a chicken all around the perimeter of the box.
Lindelof was worse. He is naturally sluggish and the whole team had to pay for that. What a goal from right in front of his eyes. He attempted to tackle the player and then relented. He probably thought Murray would pass the ball to him to launch a counter attack.
What a wild thought.
Shaw was confused. Young was lost. They made next to no contribution. With such formation I expected the fullbacks to express their creativeness, maybe I start from actually highlighting that they both actually lack that key factor. They were awful.
The most annoying is the midfield. Pogba typically lost all the balls that got to him. Each time he had the possession, he gave it out willingly while pretending to be dazzling. Man! Be basic and move the ball to the right places.
A World Cup doesn’t make you a World King as an individual. You better work for it. The two strong lions we have in the jungle haven’t even bagged a World Cup to their mans. Yet they are bosses.
Perreira and Fred tried a little bit. They jumped in on some dangerous attacks and also didn’t really get the tempo of the game. Fred is obviously a workaholic.
I only wish he could direct all of this strength to supporting the center of play. I like the way he widens up the play, but who are the players on the flank? Another section to worry about. Damn!
The wingers were not in shape. Upper week was a wiggling Sanchez. Last week was an unsettled Martial. Who will do the magic? Martial didn’t even get the ball much. The few times he did was still as-if he didn’t. This is to say he made zero impact on the game. Mata was no better, he could not complete a three piece pass. I was tired of watching the crap at a point.
Lukaku!!!!!! Nothing to say about him. He needs to become a player again. He looks so heavy and disturbed. He did not have a good day at all. Wait, was that even a day? He lost his chance at the earlier part of the game. He scored a consolation game and nothing more. Damn!
So what can be done?
Firstly, we need to remind our goalkeeper that he is actually the best any team can have. He is a star. Stars shine. He needs to take the lead as usual.
The manager is usually known for his defense and never failed. Now the defense fails. It may have been due to the unavailability of Matic. We all agree that Matic is an integer part of the defense. Without the Matic there are no interceptions and be sure that Pogba cannot have a 100% pass completion. Matic can.
I really can not explain what’s going on with the defense. It has been shitty. The guys need to calm. Take out Lindelof, he is a weakening. The weakest link in my opinion. Shaw will get his time back on his feet. He’s a great kid. Things will work well for him, definitely.
I cannot wait to see Dalot in action. He may be the perfect replacement for Valencia. One thing I noticed in a long time. The captain was substituted abruptly in the middle of a crucial game. It was really strange to see that. The age is telling already. That’s life and nature. You can’t control, you can’t cheat.
Bailey is good to go, but he obviously needs to be calm. If he doesn’t, he’ll be swimming in the pool of blood. You know what I mean. Too many reds actually tell badly on a player’s career. You better be calm man.
Fred, still bursting my brain at the moment. He is a great guy, with much energy and focus. He could make a great turn for things though. He needs to dettle, probably take a few language training to help him.
He needs his man, Pogba back with the right winning mentality. The Pogba that makes a way where there seemed to be no way. That man is really needed back on the field.
Please tell Sanchez to become a footballer once again. The Arsenal Sanchez could pace out all the players on the pitch and make a shot that would tear the goal post apart. Where are those days man? I need the ginger. This stand is getting really boring man. Do something.
At this point I’m pissed and I need to take a quick break......
