Beggary is a Social Problem in India. India, though free, is still a backward country as regards the social life of its people.Our society has manifold evils. Millions of people in India to do nothing except begging and passing away their time in all sorts of nefarious and socially injurious practices. They do nothing but eat away the very vitality of our nation life. Many people of robust health are beggars.
The poor looking people are not simply helpless beggars but they are also the victims of a mafia. There is a mafia behind all these things. They collect these people from various corner of India. The poor beggar has no relatives. He has none to depend upon and none to show his affection upon. He is a human being just in name. His only companion is a dog who is faithful to him and receives his affection. It guards him and his meager belongings when he goes for his morning calls or to fetch food with the money that he collects. The dog shares food with him.
There are two Types of beggers in India
Type A :- One who have no choice , but are forced to do it.
Type B :- And the other who have mastered the art of it and see it as a Profession like.
Type A :-
- Its very unfortunate, lets face the truth -> System has failed these people.
- Lack of education, Lack of Confidence, Lack of financial stability, Lack of opportunities, Fear of Powerful people, Corrupt citizens both within and outside Government and various other things add on to their present situation.
- Every person in Power wants to Manipulate the System in ways which benefits Himself and His Family/peers and there is no limit to Selfishness.
- Schemes for Poor are announced year after year. But when you see the implementation data, its rather shocking, hardly poor people get the benefits.
Type B :-
its a easy way to make money & they have no regrets whatsoever. There is a viscious web of Criminal Activities associated with Begging and some Invisible Powerful Personalities use beggars to mint Money as has been highlighted in various Bollywood and Other Language movies. Slumdog Millioniare is one Popular example.
There are few justifiable cases of begging. Those who are paralyzed, lame, deaf, dumb, and blind or disabled, are unable to earn their living. Some are pitiable states that evoke pity and compassion. These poor beggars are well versed in the art of singing religious songs. Some beggars have very melodious voice. Their sweet voice attracts the passing persons. These singing beggars are mainly in the trains and buses and they fascinate travelers through their hymns and devotion.
