"Social Gold" is my experiment :

designed to test the reaction of my fellow Steemians when presented with reposts of my favorite posts on Facebook and other social media.

All of these posts will either be posts of content I personally created or posts from friends who have chosen to post publicly. If I repost a friend's post here, and it generates any STEEM and/or SBD, I promise to contact them and attempt to get them to join so I can transfer the funds to them. If they do not accept, then I will keep the compensation as a gift from them. (I will post screenshots of their answers in the comments when necessary)

I hope this experiment finds my fellow Steemians supportive.

I still use Facebook to discover good content and often post quality content there. I do this mostly because my friends are all there.

I have tried crossposting from Steemit to Facebook as a way to get people to join but that has not been effective.

Hopefully by crossposting from Facebook to Steemit I can prove that the same exact content posted here is compensated when on Facebook the value of that content is extracted and sold to advertisers!
