So, I finally looked into SORA today.
What an amazing project! I had it on my list "to check out" for a while, and today I found out by coincidence that the $XOR token went from $1.25 to $125 over the past month and I decided to finally look into it.
Of course that price spike could just be a pump & dump scheme - so I don't recommend anyone to buy $XOR tokens right now ;) but it did make me look deeper into it and - happy news - we can actually earn XOR tokens, we do not need to buy them.
I am fascinated with SORA, because of its focus on non-blockchain based projects out there in the real world.
Imagine a crowdfunding platform where you do not contribute money out of your own pocket, but you vote for how available funds will be spent (pretty similar to what we're doing on Hive, actually). The funds are coming from newly minted $XOR tokens - the native token of the SORA blockchain. If the projects you voted for get funded, then you will earn $XOR tokens as a reward!
It's similar to Bitcoin mining, where miners receive Bitcoin for a winning block, only much more enjoyable and affordable for regular people.
I think this is a way too basic introduction, but luckily there's a short clip that explains it all really well!
To get started, simply download the app from the official site. I'd be happy if you would use my invite code 2bbdd158. I will not receive any direct financial rewards in the form of tokens, but my reputation will go up. I wouldn't mind a good reputation :)
I can't wait to see what new projects we will get to vote on. One of the previous ones is https://www.drinknoir.com/ - wine in a can ;)
Have you heard about SORA before? What do you think?
Another highly anticipated project of theirs is Polkaswap.io, which will also be powered by the $XOR token. I really believe we're looking at a project with huge potential here...
