NASA's massive Saturn V rocket propelled dozens of humans toward Earth's moon.
Happy Anniversary, 50 years ago, on Nov. 9, 1967, NASA launched the Apollo 4, the first launch of a Saturn V.
The Apollo 11 mission, which was launched to space on a Saturn V, safely landed two people on the moon in 1969.
So far, Saturn V has a record as the most powerful rocket ever launched. NASA's Orion and the Space Launch System is scheduled to launch in 2019, or 2020 and will take the new record.
Saturn V's were launched from Cape Canaveral, in FL.
