Dear Lord.
Sometimes, just for the sake of curiosity, I do things I later regret.
One of them was dating a lesbian, to test my male powers of charisma and persuasion. I blame that one on young hubris. (In reality it were lazy Cupid's blind arrows. Terrible dating counselor and always leaving out the pesky little details).
The other was enrolling to become an inhabitant of the first nation in space, which, after I read the draft constitution, turned out to be a Russian royal autocracy, evoking a yearning to return to the period prior to communism, ... as if the age of the Tsars was a reference. I blame the latter on the journalistic curiosity of getting the inside view... But if I am honest, and just call it what it is, I am a space nerd, till death. The only twelve step program I am ever going to take, is the stairway to heaven. I actually was jealous of the beautiful bald head of Jean Luc Piccard in Star Trek the Next Generation, since it aided in giving him the statesmanship he exhumed and I -who also wanted to boldly go-, aspired. It must be that the power of self delusion runs deep in me. By family name I am also a big cat, so I would be saving a cliché if curiosity would end up killing me.
So here's the thing.
I actually like the romantic notion of building new nations in space gradually cutting of their ties to Earth. It is bound to eventually happen sometime in the not so distant future. The decimated rocket launch prizes also help a lot. You know: SpaceX, Bezos, Bigelow, China... The idea of the clean slate filled in with the ideals of the uncorrupted. And if you like bitcoin and the entire peer-to-peer or blockchain movement, you either are a criminal or a bright man believing in your own abilities and decentralized sovereign powers. What will it be?
Well, if I become a more active member of Asgardia, I will be helping an autarch, the founder of Asgardia, in fulfilling his fantasy of becoming a king. If I don't warn the others that they are gradually empowering a monster, I would be forsaking the duty of any man in keeping the powers of darkness at bay.
So I do the next best thing... I write a powerless article on mighty steem. Because steem has steem power and the articles, thanks to internet, are given legs. Yeah!!!
So, I throw it into the group:
