"Fast radio splashes", the mysterious space phenomenon, it was for the first time revealed in 2007. Since then astronomers have come very close to finding of a source of these signals, but haven't dealt with the nature of their origin. And on August 26 the team of the Breakthrough Listen project has made the longest observation of the purpose, having collected the record volume of data in which the answer to this question can be found.
