Two Van Allen Probes satellites have been calculated on work within two years, however work in Earth orbit five years, giving valuable information on radiation belts of our planet. Daily they transfer information on a belt of Van Allen which surrounds Earth. Around our planet there are two huge belts of charged particles which are capable to damage spaceships and to cause damage to onboard electronics.
The mission of Van Allen Probes is intended to study this region of near-earth space better. Two ships of a mission are made of elements, steady against radiation, they fly at a speed of 2000 miles per hour at some distance from each other quickly to fix changes in a radiation background of belts of Van Allen. The ships bend around Earth in 9 hours. This mission has made the significant contribution to understanding of mechanisms of behavior of charged particles in near-earth space. For example, the third belt which under certain circumstances appears and disappears has been found.
