A couple weeks ago I saw a comment that seemed eerily familiar. It was worded very awkwardly, like someone was using a language they weren't familiar with. I scrolled up on the post, and found a comment by another, who clearly spoke English well.
The comments both said exactly the same thing, point for point, but the second was constructed of bad synonyms.
I have seen it happen a couple more times, but, just now on @doitvoluntarily's post on inflation, ran into it again, and realized this isn't a coincidence.
Here's @matthewdavid's comment:
"I am certainly not holding onto dollars. I see price increases for many things, especially food, education and medical categories. That points to an inflation of the money supply as those prices couldn't be charged if there were not massive injections of dollars into the US economy by the Federal Reserve. If I understand it correctly, that's inflation."
And here's the spammers, @rabeel:
"I am positively not clutching dollars. I see cost increments for some things, particularly sustenance, training and restorative classes. That focuses to an expansion of the cash supply as those costs couldn't be charged if there were not huge infusions of dollars into the US economy by the Central bank. In the event that I comprehend it effectively, that is expansion."
Either these poor copies of good comments are being written by bots with bad synonyms, or the users are just running them through google translate into one language, and then back to English, or just using a thesaurus to change the words.
It's plagiarism.
I'd like to see any other examples you guys have found. I bet these accounts are doing this often.
