Hebrews 6:11-19 (NASB):
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end,
so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,
saying, “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.” 15 And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.
For men swear by one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute.
In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath,
so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,
The world is filled with LIARS. Big time liars indeed. Can a man lie? oh yes, he does on a
regular basis.
The devil is the father of all liars.
John 8:44 says it.
- Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44 (KJV)
• Some Politicians are liars.
• The government lies to the people.
Some spouses tell lies to one another
Some friends are liars and cheats
• Some prophets and teachers lie.
1Timothy 4:1-2 (KJV)
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
LADIES AND GENTLE MEN I WANT TO TELL YOU THE ONE THING THE ALMIGHTY GOD GOD CANNOT LIE.
Numbers 23:19 (KJV)
- God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
“God cannot lie; His word must surely come to pass: He will never lie because He is not a man”. That is one thing God cannot do.
- To you workers, He says, “God is not unjust to forget your work and your labor of love. Read Heb. 6:10-12.
• You have a sure promise by God that does not fail confirmed by an oath.
What is an oath? it is a solemn promise,
The promises of God are immutable – changeless.This assurance is an anchor that holds our soul in every turbulent time.
• Has God made any promise to you? Hold unto it patiently and steadfastly because God cannot lie.
• If you have no promise yet from Him, dig the Book (Bible) for this is the mind of God.
• For greater is He that has promised. He will surely do what He has promised, only be steadfast in Him.
