Apollo,drag me hurriedly outside early in the morning to show me this spider.
He quickly recognizes it as a Orb Weaver Spider. So I take picture and look for info on the internet.
Here is what I found:
Orb-weaver spiders are members of the spider family Araneidae. They are the most common group of builders of spiral wheel-shaped webs often found in gardens, fields, and forests. The English word orb can mean "circular", hence the English name of the group. I am a Biology graduate, most of the genus names of groups of Arachnids are already skip my memory. I am happy that my kid is found of these organisms.
