All the parallel realities and alternate dimensions collapse and merge into one, colorful, smart, funny and amazing Marvel Multiverse!
The Multiverse where all the Spider-Man characters unintentionally join in epic fight against yet another evil threat, just in order to be able to get back home, in their belonging parallel Universes.
The main character is a 15-year-old teenager Miles Morales, who happens to become Spider-Man of his (parallel) reality. He at first meets his fellow Spider-Man Peter Parker, but unfortunate circumstances bring on the scene other Spider-people as well: Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, Peni Parker (SP//dr)… The funniest of them all is a cartoonish Peter Porker aka Spider-Ham, sarcastic and witty, and full of references to other well-known cartoons.
Peni Parker says to her Spider-buddies at the end of this Multi-Verse adventure:
“Well, nice to know we’re not alone.”
I love clever dialogs, glitches in colliding Universes, explosion of vivid colors, visual effects and gorgeous animation at its best… I agree with many others: this CG animated movie is the closest and the most faithful to a comic book revival.
Refreshing and brilliant, ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ is a top notch animated superhero classic, one of the best Marvel's animated movies ever (imho).
I can't recommend this movie highly enough, it's simply must-watch! Not only once, but at least twice… No wonder it won Oscar this year as a Best Animated Feature Film, besides numerous international awards.
"That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a REAL Superhero."
~ Stan Lee
And last, but not least, not to forget to mention a great modern soundtrack, which suits perfectly to this animated movie.
