Good morning afternoon Splinterfriends! (apologies for the delay!)
It has been a wild ride in the Lands of Praetoria this past week!! Amirite?!?
I mean, there's so much going on!
Land 1.75 and the Aura Labs, Permits, Midnight Potions and so much more!
Conclave Arcana Presale going on... some big players have made an early move... some of the other Titans are being more reserved... lots of middle players are anxiously eyeballing the price of $SPS as it struggles to keep the $.01 mark...
Azircon and crew have made such a strong case for supporting the $.01 mark and I agree - I have put my own $HIVE in as buy support there and hope to see the Crypto Markets continue moving upwards as well as seeing $SPS push up towards the $.02-$.03 mark!
A big part of how that can happen is through the Burn Mechanism and "Flyhweel" - Bulldog did a big event highlighting the "Burn Through" method and just how much $SPS can be burned for very little "cost".
Remember - if something has a large supply, the individual value will probably be very low, depending on demand of course.
In order to help price go up, demand could increase - or supply could decrease and that's just what Burn Through does!
To give the "quick math" on this...
If you have 100 SPS, burn it for DEC and then take that DEC and Swap it or Buy SPS on Hive-Engine or Tribaldex... If you get, for example, 95 SPS back... that's a loss of 5 SPS per 100 SPS burned.
Add 5 SPS to get back to 100 and repeat.
If you did this 20 times in a row, you would have "Lost" 5 SPS x 20 = 100 SPS...
But you would have completed 20 Burns at 100 SPS each... or 2,000 SPS! The closer DEC is to $1.00 per 1,000 DEC... the less SPS you lose per Burn Cycle...
Since there are 3,000,000,000 $SPS Tokens to be created... oversupply is a bit of a thing... but like Bulldog highlighted - with a little effort, you can burn a LARGE amount of SPS.
I think he received a decent amount of donations but was able to burn somewhere near 3.5 MILLION $SPS for cost of about 150k SPS!
Despite allllllllll of this... $SPS is still barely clinging to $.01 and I am VERY CONFUSED as to who is selling at this point!!
With all that being said - let's head over to Praetoria and see what's been happening on the Land front!
Ok ok ok - still doing > 1 Plot per day Claimed and Surveyed! Nice! I like that!!
Well, lets not waste any more time dawdling... let us get on down to Dryae Tor (R143) and see what's popping!
As we make our way through Tract 02 of Dryae Tor, as always we start today's journey where we left off last week: Region 143, Tract 02 Plot 79!
Plot 79 is that weird Common Magic Burn-y Forest that @loki3333 found... They're building a Shard Mine there... even though Research and Aura Labs get a Bonus... but hey, it's their land, I wish them the best of luck!
Starting our journey from there we wave farewell to loki3333 and the construction crew hard at work... and we make our way towards Plot 80. We can only wonder what surprises wait in store for us!
Plot 80 is a really really thick Forest... with strange vegetation... and... wait a minute... @im-rey-gey... this isn't a Forest... It's a Common Natural Jungle! Congrats on your Jungle, which is currently sitting dormant, so we move on with our exploration!
Plot 81 is another im-rey-gey Plot... but this one is a fancy Jungle... They've found a nice Rare Natural Jungle and we can just make out what looks to be a single worker with 169 PP putting together a Logging Camp.
Plot 82 is a Common Natty Forest owned by @devonhdd - nice one and welcome to Dryae Tor!
Plot 83 is a tingly Forest - it's a Common Magic [Life] Forest also owned by devonhdd, great find and I can't wait to see what you do with it!
Plot 84 is @jron Claiming and Surveying a Common Natty Forest - so many treeeeeeeees!
Plot 85 is a Rare Natural Forest picked up by @gcollects - nice find and we will check back in later after you start production!
Plot 86 is a really hard to type @oudekrijger - and they Claimed and Surveyed a Common Natural Forest! Nice find and welcome to Praetoria!
Plot 87 is another one by oudekrijger and this is also a Common Natty Forest!
Plot 88 is a spicy Forest!! Oudekrijger has Claimed and Surveyed a Common Occupied Forest! Nice job with this one, big yikes with the critters running around though!
Finally... we come to plot 89, last stop on our exploration journey...
Plot 89 is a Common Natty Jungle that was Claimed and Surveyed by @acetoby - great work and welcome to Praetoria!

Midnight Potions = Trend Reversal!! Markets go UP!!!
Grain has FINALLY turned around this week and posted a 2.55% Gain!! How about them apples!!! Grain is trading at just over 108 Grain per DEC while DEC is hovering near Peg... CA is in the Pre Release... and Midnight Potions are soaking up Resources and Research!! As I've said... anything can happen but I expect Resource Prices to continue to Climb throughout the next week - what happens after the CA Pre Release ends... is anyones guess!
My personal focus is still on Grain Production... but who knows if that will pay off!!
Wood puts up a another nice gain this week as it climbs nearly 6% over last weeks tremendous rise! The price of Wood is now 31.367 Wood per DEC and I'm guessing Midnight Potions are the reason!
PP Based Pricing Metrics are 4:1 Grain:Wood so if we measured prices with our PP's then Wood should be trading at roughly 4 x 9.238 DEC or 36.952 DEC per Kilo, so Wood still seems to be about 20% undervalued trading at 31.889 DEC/Kilo!
The Price of Stone increased a WHOPPING 36.67% this week!!! I'm guessing it is based on the Midnight Potions but call me Flubber because Stone has fallen UPWARD in a big way! Stone prices moved up to 7.034 Stone per DEC and who knows what next week will bring!
PP Based Metrics are 10:1 Grain:Stone so a PP based price would have Stone priced at 9.238 so Stone at 142.206 DEC per Kilo means we appear to be in "overbought" territory... but these are technically "emerging markets"... but this is all just guess work anyways lol
This is certainly not financial advice as I am literally tracking the economies of a VIDEO GAME but hey, here's the data, I hope it helps 🤷♂ (At least we're not Eve Online aka Spreadsheets Galore)
Iron prices also jumped an impressive 21% this week!! Typically, Iron has the most muted swing and I'm not sure what is the cause of suppressed swing percentages... but probably due to having less Iron than others due to difficulty mining it... This week Iron rose to 2.569 Iron per DEC!
Does this continue next week?? Does it fall 20%??? WHO KNOWS!!!! But WHEEEEEEE!
Keep in mind Iron is the hardest Resource to acquire, requiring a LOT of effort to extract it. Grain has a .02PP Requirement whereas Iron is .0005 or 40X harder to Mine! Will this transfer a premium to Iron? Who knows! We're just over a week in and this is EXCITING!!
PP Based Price Metrics put Iron at 40:1 Grain:Iron so that would mean if Grain:DEC is trading at 9.238 DEC Kilo of Grain, then Iron should be 369.52 DEC per Kilo or so but all bets are off at this point!
It is currently a little over 389 DEC per Kilo so that seems like it's trading quite near the PP Price!
Hey look! They got their own section!! This is a simple breakout highlighting whether or not a Resource is trading Over/Under their PP Based Price. Perhaps it will act as a Market Indicator to let us know if a resource is Under/Overvalued at present????
Here's another handy dandy chart - I think aggroed and others are posting something super similar to this as well so I love having more than one person looking at this data!
