Lava spider is the one of Chaos Legion monsters, you can check detail in splintercards.com. I had buy chaos legion packs, but not opened yet. I am waiting for airdrops. Because if we open Chaos Legion packs before an airdrops release, we lose our chance to get it. So I decided to wait until all airdrops can be claimed.
"I wanna have Lava Spider, How to buy it?"
Yes, you have to, you can buy in splinterlands.com, first you have to buy Chaos Legion Packs by credits (4000 credits = $4) and you will get a chance to grap some airdrop cards or you can rent the higher level cards in peakmonsters.com

STRATEGY
First of all, I saw the playable element and manacap before I saw the recently played teams of my opponent. With manacap 17, I thought my opponent wouldn't use earth. Very possible is use fire or death. What if my opponent use death? I can use death too or fire. But if I use fire with Living lava, it's also very risky. So I decided use fire but use some kind of attack but must have low manacap cards.
Because of low manacap, I doubt if I only focus on defense or higher health, so to my frontline I put Antoid Platoon, because it can reduce melee damage for counter death and water, even my opponent will put fire with living lava, I still can win. Meanwhile, in the second line is Chaos agent lv.2. It is very useful because of his dodge ability, I used it to counter Serpentine Spy. And the third-place is Serpentine Spy of course because it will very useful with opportunity ability. Fourth line is Kobold Miner that has sneak ability to kill their backline, then the last line is Lava Spider, I choose it to keep from death summoners. and the last but not least, my summoner is Tarsa, of course. Because it can strengthen my melee attack in both line, front and back line. Check it out.

But the facts is my opponent use water element with Kelya Frendul that has shield and ability to increase their speed.
PREPARATION
Tarsa give buff to Antoid Platoon, Serpentine Spy, and Kobold Miner. Meanwhile, in opposite, Kelya Frendul give buff shield and speed.
ROUND #1
In the end of this round my opposite loss Ice Pixie. Meanwhile my front line dying because received magic attacks. And Lava Spider broke River Nymph's Shield.
ROUND #2
My Serpentine Spy killed River Nymph. then Antoid Platoon was killed by Elven Mystic. and Lava Spider make a combo with Kobold Miner, Lava Spider broke a shield and Kobold Miner killed Elven Mystic. In the end, all of my opposite's backline was gone. So the remain is only Cruel Sethropod as a frontline and defender.
ROUND #3
Cruel Sethropod was killed by Serpentine Spy. That was an ending of this battle.
STRATEGY EVALUATION
Even I didn't prepare for fighting with water. luckily I'm winning. I don't satisfied yet, because I should put card with more health in front line if I knew my opponent will choose water. But, my strategy worked with put some kind of attack, like opportunity, sneak, and snipe ability to each card.
MY OPINION ABOUT LAVA SPIDER
Beside Death Elemental in death elements, finally we have Lava Spider in fire elements, so we are not only use death anymore if we get snipe daily quest. We have another option to doing that. Now beside fire element has sneaks, it also has snipes. So it can makes fire elements more powerful than before and can covering the weakness.
