Thanks to @splinterlands and @carrieallen for another nice card to feature in the Weekly Challenge.
Nectar Queen:
Nectar Queen, an Untamed edition Common Earth monster particularly useful when there is high MANA cap and there is Earthquake scenario battle as this card has Flying ability with melee attack starting with 4 and can be a max of 5 without any push from other co-monsters or Summoner.
Let's see the abilities, melee attack, speed and health details.
Abilities:
This awesome monster has Flying, Retaliate and Poison abilities.
Flying
Flying ability helps the monster with an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attack monsters without flying ability.
This ability is available from level 1 itself.
Retaliate
Retaliate is the ability to strike back when the monster is attacked by a melee monster.
Retaliate is not 100% ensured with each melee attack by opponent monsters.
This ability is available from level 6 onwards.
Poison
Poison ability poisons the enemy monster it attacks thus reducing the health of it at each round.
This ability is available with max level i.e. 10th card only.
Other Details:
Melee Attack:
As mentioned above, the monster has 4 melee attack to begin with and until level Seven.
From level 8 onwards, it has a melee attack of 5.
Speed:
This monsters begins with a speed of 2 and continues in second level as well.
Level 3 and 4 have a speed of 3 and remaining levels have a speed of 4.
Health:
Begins with 10 health and increases to 11 in levels 2 and 3.
Level 4 to 6 and 8 have 12 health and levels 7, 9 and 10 have a max health of 13.

This battle was with a MANA cap of 46 and involved scenarios Aim True and Lost Legendaries.
Aim True ensures melee and ranged attack monsters always hit their target.
Lost Legendaries doesn't allow the Legendary monsters to be used in battles.
**So, I lined up my monsters as below with Daria Dragonscale as my Summoner since, this will give me an extra meelee attack to all my melee monsters.
Lineup:
Nectar Queen:
Well, if there is any place this monster has to be used, then that is the first position unless, we have a melee mayhem or super sneak.
The reason I used this as first monster is to utilize it's melee attack of 4 (+2 because of Daria Dragonscale and Orc Sergeant) and also the Flying ability.
Orc Sergeant:
I use this most of the time because of it's ability of Inspire, which gives a +1 melee attack and also for it's ability of Reach enabling it to use at front of second line monsters.
When this one is combined with Nectar Queen, it gives a melee attack of 10!! which should almost take out the front monster of opponent in most cases.
Screeching Vulture:
My another go to man in most battles because of it's Opportunity and Scavenger abilities besides Flying.
Mitica Headhunter:
I love this card for it's ranged attack of 4 and also for it's ability of removing Flying ability of opponent's flying monsters.
Mushroom Seer:
Another good monster with Poison and Silence abilities to reduce the magic attack by one and poison the monsters to reduce health in each round.
Javelin Thrower:
One of the most used Earth splinters because of the ranged attack of 4 along with Piercing and Dodging abilities.
Do, you think I missed out some important monster?
Yes, you are right, I haven't used a healer monster. I couldn't help in accommodating one because of the awesome lineup I have.
If I have to have a healer, it could have been at the expense of Mushroom Seer, but, that played a great role in this battle by reducing the magic attack by 1 for 4 monsters!!!
Before we go to battle, better I give a brief detail of opponent's Summoner and monsters.
With Water splinter, opponent lined up Flesh Golem, Prismatic Energy, Wood Nymph, Mushroom Seer, Magi of the Forest and Javelin Thrower.
Battle:
Round 1:
The speed of Mitica Headhunter and Javelin Thrower with 5 and 6 respectively, means, those will be among the first few monsters to attack.
With reduced magic, 4 of the opponent's monsters just lost some effect and helped me to remove the front monster, a self healer Flesh Golem in round one itself and reduce the health of Prismatic Energy to just 2 with the help of Nectar Queen and Orc Sergeant.
The poison poured onto Nectar Queen by Mushroom Seer means, it also got removed by the end of round 1, but helped removing the magic giant of Prismatic Energy early.
Round 2:
With early exit of Nectar Queen for me and Flesh Golem for opponent, the battle saw Prismatic Energy removed as well early in round 2.
Even the Wood Nymph also getting removed early, Mushroom Seer now came to the front removed the Orc Sergeant reducing the meelee attack by 1.
Round 3:
Screeching Vulture once again showed it's importance and avoided my ranged and magic attack monsters getting exposed with it's ability of Scavenging had the health of 7 before Round 3 begun.
Round 3 saw end of Mushroom Seer and even Magi of the Forest from opponent, with just Javelin Thrower left and couldn't attack since it's a ranged attack monster.
Round 4:
Nothing much left for Round 4 with just 1 hit from my Javelin Thrower removing the opponent's Javelin Thrower marking end of battle.
Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?
Yes, it worked 100% even without a healer, which I deliberately left out.
What I could have tried differently is to include a healer, but given the limit of 6 monster slots and some high profile ranged and magic attacks among second line monsters means, no space for a healer!!!!
Do I use the NECTAR QUEEN often? Why or why not?
I use it most of the time especially when Earthquake scenario battles are there with high MANA cap, so that I can accommodate this high MANA cost monster.
That's a lot of writing for me with over 1000 words!!!
