While Steem has been on my peripheral view for a few days due to lack of time, I didn't miss out posts letting us know of new tools becoming available for the ecosystem, or new developments for already established projects.
Today I'd like to talk about something most of you already know... Splinterlands, which had a few important posts during this period. It also links to a competition I wanted to mention which can be beneficial for Splinterlands.
So, this week was full of announcements from Splinterlands.
Four days ago the team announced the release date of the UNTAMED packs and more details about them. Only a little over a week till November 30th!
Since I purchased UNTAMED packs both from the website and in the campaign from Kickstarter, I'm anxious to see what is there for us and of course the participation in each and every of the following 14 airdrops! ;)
I still need plenty of DEC to make the most of my UNTAMED packs, by using the right combination of potions. I certainly won't open the packs without both legendary and alchemy full potions enabled.
Two days later, a survey was requested from Fundition campaign backers so they can receive proper rewards.
Luckily I contacted @aggroed, or I would have missed the email from Kickstarter with a similar survey for backers of the campaign on their platform.
During the same day, came the news of the partnership between Splinterlands and WAX blockchain plus OPSkins digital asset marketplace.
Opening up to a game-oriented place with over 1M registered users and 3,000+ daily active users is a positive marketing move for a game looking to improve adoption.
And finally, yesterday we could see a sneak peek into a functional and looking awesome mobile version of Steemmonsters, which has been long awaited and a very expected step before a larger scale marketing and more adoption, since the game is easily playable on mobile in quick spare moments. The release is still expected to be in December/January.
And now the competition...
The crypto-gaming website CryptoandGamers.com is holding the Blockchain Gaming 2019 Awards.
Among the award categories, "Best Game of the Year", "Best Steem Game" (added at the intervention of @aggroed, as he mentioned on Discord) and maybe... "Best Game Design".
Wouldn't it be something if a Steem game like Splinterlands wins the Game of the Year Award in the blockchain space?
If you vote (as I did), please use their new brand name "Splinterlands", it would be a shame if at a later date we find out Steemmonsters / Splinterlands didn't win because of counting the votes separately for the two names.
