With Splinterlands exploding in growth, some people have had connection issues. Things are a lot better for me now. I use google chrome and a fast wifi connection.
What you can do to help your connection:
Install the hive keychain google chrome extension
Find help with your hive keys here if you need
Now that you have hive keychain installed click this link:
Finding the Best Node
Click Start Benchmark
You'll get back some information like:
This shows that I am on the best node. However, if you're not on the best node for speed you can change it in the keychain preferences.
Click on the hive keychain logo in the top right of your browser
Then click on the three bars in your hive keychain
Then click on preferrences:
Then click the arrow here:
Then select which node you would like to be on:
Congratulations! You're now on the best node. I hope it speeds you up!
