Had you ever tried a dragon unit called Rage? How was your experience? Did you use his Weapons Training effectively?
Rage fits perfectly into the Keep Your Distance strategy with his high magic attack, Weapons Training and Void ability. The combination of Life Leech and Weapons Training lets him not only heal himself but also empower weaker units to attack making him a versatile and dangerous pick for this rule set.

Let's talk about… Rage

The ancient wyrm Rage has been the patriarch of his flight of red dragons for millenia. Long before the Splintering—long before even the Tai Kalayne —he claimed Mount Redwyrm as his own. Over the centuries, he has grown his brood and amassed a hoard of treasure to rival that of the wealthiest of kingdoms a hundred times over. He was content to admire his endless mounds of precious metals and gems while expanding his knowledge of this realm and all the other realms and planes of existence.

Buy and Rent:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Initially, I was going to say that Rage's price is fine because he was a Promo card. Usually, Promo cards are very expensive because they have limited supply and can only be obtained through events just like Lux Vega and Waka Spiritblade. I was wrong. Rage is expensive for $265 for a max level since he's a core unit meaning you can get Rage randomly on a Rebellion pack.

Rage's rent price is also high if you consider you need to rent him for a whole season now. If it's a daily rental, 199.95 DEC per day is still fine but since it's a season rental now, he really costs 3k DEC for 15 days which is the usual season length. That is a high budget for just one card.

Rule Sets:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Use it in... |
![]() All Units have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. Magic attack units are unaffected by armor unless they have Void Armor. Units trained under Rage's Weapons Training also gets magic attack and that makes their attacks also passes through enemy's armor. |
![]() Non-flying Units take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round. Flying ability is a direct counter to Earthquake rule set. This allows your unit to not take damage from Earthquake each round. |
![]() All healing abilities are removed from Units and Summoners. Healed Out only affects heal-like abilities. Life Leech does not heal your units but just stacks max health. This is not considered a heal ability. This is the reason why Life Leech works in Healed Out rule set. |
Avoid using it in... |
![]() Units lose all abilities. While Rage is still useful without the abilities, to me, his stats is not good enough to be put in the fight without any abilities in exchange for a huge 16 mana. |
![]() Only units with magic attacks may be used. Void makes him resistant to magic damage which helps in this rule set. The problem is that the Weapons Training will not be useful as you cannot use units without any attacks. |
![]() All units gain True Strike (attacks will never miss). This rule set removes the advantage of Flying ability against non-flying units because attacks will no longer miss. The benefit from Flying against non-flying melee and range units gets completely negated and makes him more susceptible against melee and range attacks where his Void ability cannot be used to reduce the damage. |

Battle Strat: Rage excels in the Keep Your Distance rule set where melee attacks are not allowed. His Void ability reduces incoming magic damage making him tough to take down in magic-heavy battles. Additionally, Rage’s Weapons Training allows non-attacking units to join the fight adding more firepower without spending extra mana and giving you flexibility to include other high-mana units like Chaos Dragon.
Battle Summary: With high hitting damage from all of my units, this was a very easy battle. My enemy doesn't even have any protection against my magic attacks which made this battle very smooth sailing.
