Good day fellow battlemages! Good morning for me, depending on where in the world you are 🙂, and welcome back to my blog!
It's time again for the weekly Splinterlands: Battle Mage Secrets Challenge, where we need to make a nice blog post about a certain ruleset, for this week it's the Ferocity ruleset.
To find out how you can participate in the challenge yourself, you can read the official Splinterlands post here.

"All monsters with the Fury ability do double damage to targets with the Taunt ability."
Funny thing is, I never looked very closely at the Ferocity picture, and because it's pretty small in-game I never noticed the second eye on the right, so my brain made a dog watched from it's right side from it with it's mouth open, when I made this post I noticed the second eye and realized it's not a dog at all 😄
For blogging purposes I keep a text file with links to some of my battles I think are worth mentioning sorted by rulesets, so when I get a challenge I won't be sitting without a battle containing this specific ruleset, and it has happened multiple times when I started blogging! So annoying when you're battling and get ALL rulesets but the one you need for your blog, and when you get it, you lose massively 🤣 so yeah... after two of those incidents, I started to save my battles, and I had one saved for this week too, but since my energy was almost recharged at 50 points I needed to play some battles before making this blog, and got an even better battle to talk about, so it's very fresh! 49 minutes old 😆

My Line-Up:
- Summoner: Quix the Devious - reason: Because I very much like the Dragon splinter! Dragon cards are not the cheapest but very powerful!
- First position: Djinn Chwalla - reason: He's awesome! Good attack, good armor and health points, he's not the fastest though...
- Second position: Whelp Herder - reason: To take out annoying support monsters with heal or repair mostly, he's cheap with good damage.
- Third position: Weirding Warrior - reason: To shatter the enemy Chwalla's armor
- Fourth position: Silent Sha-Vi - reason: Great sneaker, good damage and fast.
- Fifth position: Corpse Fiend - reason: Sneak protection, when you can't fill all six positions is almost never a bad idea to bring 0 mana cards.

First look on the battlefield...
I was surprised to not see Chwalla because it is hands down the most obvious play here, I have to admit, it was not a fair fight against a player (but certainly a bot, looking at the name and poor strategy) with only level 1 cards.
The Battle:
Round 1: Only some fighting back and forth, no one died just yet.

Round 2: The Slaughter has started, my opponent lost 3 monsters in this round: Soul Strangler, Chaos Agent and Cursed Windeku all got killed, my Chwalla is taking some heavy hits too, it could have been a good idea to bring a repair with me, so many choices!

Round 3: Well this wasn't the most entertaining fight, Life Sapper is the only one left alive at the end of this round, and only barely

Round 4: Victory!

0.3 SPS, not bad for Modern Silver League 👌
You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
Well, that's it for the Battle Mage Secret of this week, I hope you had fun when you made it this far, let's see if the Social Media Challenge for this week has been posted already, I'm not sure...
