This week's Splinterlands Challenge of the Week had a slightly different flavour to it - requesting us to showcase a Dragon Splinter Summoner, so I opted for the classic Selenia....
Selenia is one of the most awesome 3 mana summoners, coming with a plus one ranged attack.
The battle below is short but a truly great victory over a maxed deck and rule set appropriate summoner which showcases two cards from the Dragon splinter very nicely...
The Rule Set and Line Up
- 18 mana
- Healed out - doesn't particularly disadvantage Dragon
- Ranged in Front - speaks to Selenia, with her plus 1 ranged attack!
Summoner - Selenia - and two ranged attacks!
- Lord of Darkness - healed out means shields are essential!
- Oooze - a nice second in line
- Ephemeral Spirit thing - nice in low mana battles and strengthen
- The archer - 2 mana and three damage with Selenia, also shatter useful as I'd anticipated shields
- Fire Spitter - high damage for the mana
- A chicken - purely to soak up sneak.
Did my strategy work?
Like a charm - to see it in action click here!
- Round 1 - I take out his Chicken, he takes out mine - Shatter does the job on his squid's shields
- Round 2 - I take out his Squid, that's my high damage combo!
- Round 3 - And his coral wraith doesn't last much longer!
- Round 4 - despite a miss on his Tower Griffen, it's all over!
The Dragon Splinter - useful for low mana battles!
I don't really know what my opponent was thinking with this choice of line up - he lost badly.
While I think I managed to showcase a seriously good line up for the mana.
Honestly, 13 damage for 18 mana once Lord of D is enraged, which he seems to be most of the time, that's pretty decent!
Selenia is a great paring with death for a good low mana set up behind an awesome tank that doesn't require too much healing!
If you don't yet play Splinterlands, why not give it a go?
