Introduction
Hi everybody,
My name is @shawnnft and I'm here to share my social media challenge post for the Social Media Challenge. The card I want to cover for this challenge is Tarsa. It's a 4 mana summoner that gives the whole team +1 melee & +1 health. In my opinion, this is the second weakest Chaos Legion summoner. I believe it can be good in low mana, equalizer. noxious fumes and melee only rulesets. In this post, I will share one of my battles using Tarsa as the summoner to show a situation where it can be good.
Explaining My Lineup
I played this battle on my main account, shawnnft. The battle link can be found here. This battle is in bronze modern league. The ruleset for this battle was noxious fumes with a 20 mana cap. I decided to play Tarsa because fire element has a strong immune card called the forgotten one.
First Position, Antoid Platoon - I chose Antoid Platoon to be the main tank. It's a good tank in low mana with its armor, decent health and shield ability which reduces damage of melee and ranged attacks.
Second Position, Scavo Chemist - I chose Scavo Chemist for this position to cleanse the poison from my antoid platoon so it could tank longer.
*Third Position, Forgotten One - I chose Forgotten One as the finisher. It has the immune ability which doesn't let it get affect by debuffs which means it won't get affected by the noxious fumes.
Fourth Position, Radiated Scorcher - I chose Radiated Scorcher in the last spot in case opponent had sneak so my Forgotten One wouldn't lose any of its armor.
Analysis of The Battle
The opponent also chose to play a similar lineup with Tarsa. The opponent had Living Lava as their main tank, Forgotten One in the second position and Scorch Fiend last. If you watched the battle my frontline tank Antoid Platoon was able to out tank the opponent's Living Lava by 1 round which allowed it to tank 1 extra hit from the opponent's Forgotten One which allowed my Forgotten One to have a 1 extra turn advantage on the 1v1. Choosing to play Antoid Platoon + Scavo Chemist was better than playing Living Lava which ultimately led me to be victorious in this battle.
My Thoughts On Tarsa On The Meta In Modern
Tarsa is really situational in the modern league meta. It's really good in some cases such as noxious fumes which I have shown here which is good in the lower leagues like bronze and novice. However when we look at the higher leagues, there's a lot of other possible lineups to play for noxious fumes as there is more abilities unlocked in the higher leagues. Some other rulesets Tarsa can be good at is in equalizer, equal opportunity, melee mayhem, up close & personal, reverse speed and super sneak. Hopefully there will be more cards released in the future that can synergize well with Tarsa. One card I believe that could be strong with Tarsa in reverse speed that is yet to be released is Runi. Runi has 1 speed and true aim with a built in self revive. I will probably cover a battle featuring Runi in the future when it's released so look forward to that.
