Splinterlands Fanart Contest: Week 180 - Kelya

Heyaaaa!
Name's Chev and I'm back with another entry to @splinterlands weekly fanart contest!

This week's entry is the NEW Chaos Legion Summoner, Kelya!
I opened five packs last EOS and got a opened a GF Kelya!
Of course, I immediate sold her to buy more packs but she looks awesome sooo.. she's gon be this week's star!

Sketch

I gave Kelya a different pose!
Sketch is still rough but this stage gives me a general idea of how she'd look like by the end.

Lineart

After the sketch, its important to see a clearer picture before we go to colors. I use the same brush as I used on the sketch but refined my lines so its not super.. er.. sketchy?

Flat Colors

Laying out the color borders is super important before adding details. This way, we can use the base colors as clipping masks to add the next step.

Light and Shadow

Once the base colors are set, we can now add different shades of the base color to give depth to the drawing. I'm trying out a different style here compared to my other entries, sooo... sorry if it looks clunky lol

Final Piece

Here she is! I added some deets to the hair, a few reflected lights, brushed a water-like background and she's done!
