I understand the business perspective to do this but kinda messed up that the guy who hasn't fought in over 2 years (and was juiced up in that fight too, failed the drug test) might be getting an immediate title shot at the winner of Miocic/Cormier at the end of the year.
You've got legit contenders like Alexander Volkov and Curtis Blaydes fresh off spectacular TKO wins, knocking at the door for a title shot. But I get it, this would be a huge money PPV and I'd be lying if I said I'm not somewhat interested in seeing it go down. Stipe vs. Brock or DC vs. Brock would be fun to watch.
