MANCHESTER UNITED striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to return for the Red Devils’ clash with Arsenal.
Manchester United signed Ibrahimovic on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain last year, with the 35-year-old going on to score 28 goals from 46 appearances.
However, a serious knee injury picked up against Anderlecht in the Europa League cruelly cut short his stunning first season in English football.
Ibrahimovic was released at the end of the campaign but re-signed in August after wowing club medics with his recovery.
And Football 365 say that he may return and START the Manchester United's Premier League game against Arsenal on December 2.
It is said he has been making fortnightly trips to the club’s Carrington training complex for checks on his progress.
And, from early November, he will be returning on a daily basis - though an official date is yet to be agreed.
Football 365 then say Ibrahimovic is expected to be reintroduced to action by the end of November.
And then he should be able to start against Arsene Wenger’s side the following month.
Whether or not Jose Mourinho selects him, however, remains to be seen.
The former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker is hardly needed at the moment with United so deadly in front of goal.
His replacement, Romelu Lukaku, has made an immediate impact by hitting 11 goals from his first 10 games across all competitions.
And, speaking back in the summer, the Belgian said he expected Ibrahimovic to have a huge effect on the squad when he returns.
“I already knew for a while that Zlatan would sign but I didn't tell anyone," Lukaku said.
"I'm happy. We need his personality.
"I think Zlatan will bring us a lot.
"I think he has one mission, and that is to win the Premier League, and we’re going to help him reach his goal."
