Tonight the Reds dropped an important home opener to the Milwaukee Brewers. After picking up a 2 run lead in the sixth the Reds allowed a 5-run 7th to the Brewers. Despite a little rally in the 8th and 9th they were unable to gain back the ground needed to pick up the W.
David Hernandez came into the game in the 7th in a tough situation. Despite the outcome not being in his favor tonight I've been a big fan of his productivity this year. He's shown he can handle the pressure of high stress moments but tonight just didn't go our way.
The Reds are in a dire need to pick up 2 of the 3 games remaining games against the Brewers this week. Tomorrow we'll see Tanner Roark take the mound. Let's hope he can keep the run count to a minimum and our bats can show up.
Reds lets the Brewers rally and win 8-6.
