As you know, for some of us in the States, it was spring break last week. I spent time with family and got some other itinerary done over the last two weeks. I may not be in school anymore, but it was still a great time to take a step back. I would like to remind everyone that it is also tax season, so there was a lot more paperwork than usual.
For those who have to do crypto taxes, you have my condolences. It is a near impossible feat without some of the handy services partnered with TurboTax. So, before any amateur goes on about privacy on the blockchain, this isn't Monero.
First of all, the weather was wonky. It was cloudy for the most part. It even rained during a brief moment of sunshine. This is a phenomenon I noticed in the mountains. It is possible to have rain and sun at the same time.
Speaking of wonky weather, sleet came down this morning. That would be the high mountain desert for ya. It was in the high 60 degrees F (high teens in degrees C) the evening prior. I was getting off work when I saw them coming down hard. I did not have a photo as it was cold and I was more interested in getting home from work.
When the weather is rough, plans change. Good thing that there are plenty of places to be indoors that are interesting.
For your amusement, here are some photos about the history of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Believe it or not, the first store of the franchise started in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I had a conversation about this place with @anthonyadavisii, @steemseph, and @reazuliqbal. It functions as both a restaurant, with a buffet, and a museum. There are more relics inside the place, but I will not be showing them all. You will have to visit this place yourselves.
That's right, that is one of Colonel Sander's original suits. You are welcome. I seldom visit this place as I find it cheaper to make my own fried chicken. I came to this location the other day because there were coupons available.
Was it worth the price? In hindsight, I do not think so. It was a spur of the moment ordeal. The chicken tasted great, but the after effect of ingesting so much fat did dawn on me hours later.
Despite having a lot of items on my to-do list in the past two weeks, I still had fun. It is surprising to me how much more sleep I get during these times.
Coming back to post stuff on Steem? Well, that is not as fun. Somehow, writing things here is becoming more and more of a chore. I would much prefer to read other people's content. It is funny because that is what I came here for in the first place, but winded up doing a lot more than I had anticipated.
Have no fear, I will still post...grudgingly.
