The Croatian is determined to leave the Santiago Bernabèu at all costs this summer.
Matteo kovacic is considering going on a training strike to drive home his point.
The Croatian was back in training on Sunday after the world cup holiday. He's been training with Real Madrid's team B together with Casemiro, Marcelo and Varane
Kovacic however has his mind set on leaving the Bernabèu this summer. The player is considering staying away from training to show he means business.
Matteo had met with new boss, Julen Lopetegui before flying away for his holidays to know the manager's plans for him. He had informed the manager of his desire to leave the club. He has even told fellow teammates that he's leaving.
Real Madrid though are adamant that the player is notable for sale. The 24-year-old is valued as a long-term plan for the club. They know it will be difficult finding a player that can replace him.
However, only a regular starting spot in the team will convince the Croatian to stay. He told Lopetegui when they met that the coach had to guarantee him a starting role if was going to stay.
Lopetegui on his part believes he can convince the player to stay.
