SPS DAO Project Manager Month 15 Invoicing and Recap
Hello SplinterFam! This month has been quite busy with the Validator development ramping up and I'm excited to say that I feel like we're very close to the network going live. There are already plans to add additional functionality shortly after release as well!
The work on setting up the foundation took a bit of a backseat for a couple of weeks while the focus has been primarily on validators, but I have ramped back up the pursuit of finding the best firm for us to work with for establishing the foundation over the past few days. We're now exploring options in both Singapore and Panama, so hopefully I'll have more news on this front in the coming weeks.
If you somehow missed the news, the validator network is now in open testing and I'd like to invite you guys to jump in and start figuring out how to set up your node so that you'll be ready for launch. I've also had several community members reach out asking if there will be a service available for hosting validators live at launch and I'm speaking to a few devs in regards to that request as well. It seems very likely.
I've been relaying community feedback and sentiment with the Soul Keep team and they've made adjustments based on that feedback and opened a stakeholder channel to encourage open discussions with the community. While communication has been a bit spotty, I requested they do more to keep the community contact going and will continue to monitor that situation.
Royaleagle and I have been working on a few projects related to updating our token info on CMC and searching for a new payment processor for the DAO and Splinterlands. CMC has been difficult but I think we are finally making some headway. We need to get the validator network launched and provide them with a functional block explorer to have them move forward with updating our token info.
As far as finding a payment processor, the big one that I've been really hoping would work out and that we've spent a lot of time pursuing flaked on us after 3-4 months of discussions and meetings. That said, one of the backup plans is live and we've sent requests to several more and have been meeting with them as they respond. Other than that, there have been a few polls to gather community feedback on some issues and we're currently in the draft phase of a proposal to adjust starter packs for Conclave Arcana. I'm also now meeting with the team to follow up on Conclave Arcana development as well as meeting with Blaze to discuss marketing plans going forward. We're working to set up a group of community testers for Conclave Arcana as well so that we can ensure the DAO gets the best set possible for its investment.
It's been a very busy couple of months, but I believe it will all be worth it and that the next couple of months will be some of the biggest in Splinterlands history. Hopefully I'll be able to take a vacation in April. We'll see how things work out. For now, thanks for the opportunity to work on behalf of the DAO and until next time...
