This month was very heavily focused on the Tournament overhaul. We got the update to have preproposals added to the Splinterlands site and I had all of the preproposals ready to go. After a few days there wasn't a clear consensus and several people requested combining elements of option C and option E, which I did, and ultimately we passed a vote to apportion Tournament inflation.
That wasn't the end of the Tournament work for me though. I spent quite a bit of time both before and after the proposal passed doing prep work to be ready to move upon a successful proposal. This time was spent analyzing set data, determining entry requirements and building calculators to be able to adjust number of Tournaments and Tournament payouts quickly. I also took a break from Tournament work to update everyone on the status of our passed proposals. You can check out all of the work that has been completed so far and get details on where the hold ups are for the others at this link. I also added a Proposal Tracker in the Splinterlands community Discord server as well.
There will still be work to do with Tournaments and actually building the templates in game. I plan on starting that next week. The next big project I plan to undertake is modernizing our approach to liquidity pools and sharing sustainable options for the DAO to consider. Some work is already being done as it relates to the passed SushiSwap proposal, but there's more work to do. Check out my recent post on this topic here.
