Introduction
Continuing the series of posts about the Set Riftwatchers cards (Greengineer, 2022-a and 2022-b) in this post a battle with the Coeurl Lurker alias will be presented:
- Taunt: Attracts the attacks of all enemy monsters, with the exception of those that have the Scattershot ability.
- Dodge: Increases evasion chance by 25%.
- Phase: This card now deflects magic attacks using the same calculation as physical attacks.
- Thorns: Inflicts 02 physical damage to opponents who hit this card with a melee attack.
The Coeurl Lurker is the most valued card in the Riftwatchers Set and its high demand is no wonder. In addition to being a Neutral card that fits in the most varied teams, it has a set of skills that until then it was not possible to find in any monster, Dodge and Phase. Of course, with the new Summoner of the Dragon Splinter, Sthispa, it is possible to have even more evasive abilities combined with Phase, but you end up losing the possibility of using Summoners that increase the movement speed of your allies or reduce the speed of your enemies. As if these two abilities weren't enough, it still has Taunt, forcing all enemies that don't have the Scattershot ability to attack it, in order to protect their most vulnerable allies. At max level it relies on Thorns, becoming a problem even when hit.
Unless the opponent has a lot of movement speed or the True Strike ability, the Coeurl Lurker can dodge several attacks for several rounds, not needing to rely on support skills like Tank Heal or Repair to fulfill the role of Tank.
The strategy before the battle
The battle had the Heavy Hitters and Spreading Fury rules, there were 52 MP available and only the Life, Death and Dragon Splinters were active. In order to take advantage of the Spreading Fury rule I tried to use the Coeurl Lurker as a tank. To increase his evasion I sought to maximize Swiftness buffs and Slow debuffs and for that I needed to use Dragon Splinter.
So I selected Summoner Quix the Devious due to its debuff on enemy movement speed. To help the Coeurl Lurker I put the Venator Kinjo in the second position Slow. The Venator would have a secondary function protecting the other allies from the damage of the Blast if any. In third position I placed Baby Unicorn with Strength and Swiftness. In fourth position I put Spirit Miner with Dodge, Swiftness and Blind, this last skill to further expand my tank's dodge. In fifth position I put Diamond Dragon with Slow and Cleanse, this last skill is important to remove any debuff from my tank, especially the Slow. In sixth position I placed Supply Runner with Swiftness.
My goal was to use the movement speed difference between my tank and my enemies as a defense. As I said before, the weak point of this strategy is the presence of monsters with True Strike, so I could only hope that my opponent didn't come with this ability and luckily, that didn't happen:
The battle
My opponent came in with Summoner Grandmaster Rathe, with Shieldbearer as a tank with Taunt and Shield. In second position he had Adelade Brightwing with Repair, Resurrect, and Immunity. In third position was Djinn Renova with Strengthen and Triage. In fourth position was Lunakari Mistress with Oppress and Cripple. In fifth position he put Time Mage with Slow and Rust and in last position was Defender of Truth with Protect.
My opponent's goal was to make me lose as many rounds as possible by attacking his tank until his allies made an opening in my front line. A strategy that usually brings good results, but by not caring about the movement speed of his allies he ended up in trouble.
The Shieldbearer resisted the attacks well for 02 rounds, but in the third he was eliminated for the first time. Adelade Brightwing has done the favor of returning him to the battlefield. My tank hadn't received any attacks until now.
After taking a few more hits, the Shieldbearer was eliminated again in the fifth round. And the Coeurl Lurker was still unscathed.
In the seventh round, Adelade Brightwing was removed from the match. My tank kept dodging every blow.
In the eighth round it was Djinn Renova's turn to say goodbye to the match. In this round my tank received a hit, activating Enrage and getting even faster.
In the ninth round the Lunakari Mistress was shot down.
In the tenth round the Time Mage left the game.
In the eleventh round the Defender of Truth was shot down, granting me the victory.
The Coeurl Lurker proved to be an extremely powerful card as it only received one attack in 11 rounds. The strategy proved to be very efficient, with only 38 MP used out of the 52 available, it was possible to neutralize almost all of my opponent's attacks.

Introdução
Continuando a série de posts sobre as cartas do Set Riftwatchers (Greengineer, 2022-a e 2022-b) neste post será apresentada uma batalha com o apelão Coeurl Lurker:
- Taunt: Atrai os ataques de todos os monstros inimigos, com exceção daqueles que possuam a habilidade Scattershot.
- Dodge: Aumenta chance de evasão em 25%.
- Phase: Esta carta passa a desviar dos ataques mágicos utilizando o mesmo cálculo que o de ataques físicos.
- Thorns: Infringe 02 de dano físico aos oponentes que acertarem esta carta com ataque melee.
O Coeurl Lurker é a carta mais valorizada do Set Riftwatchers e sua alta procura não é à toa. Além de ser uma carta Neutra que se encaixa nos mais variados times ele possui um conjunto de habilidades que até então não era possível encontrar em nenhum monstro, Dodge e Phase. É claro que com a nova Summoner do Set Dragão, Sthispa, é possível ter até mais habilidades evasivas combinadas com Phase, mas você acaba perdendo a possibilidade de utilizar Summoners que aumentem a velocidade de movimento dos seus aliados ou reduzam a velocidade de seus inimigos. Não bastasse essas duas habilidades ele ainda conta com Taunt, obrigando todos os inimigos que não possuam a habilidade Scattershot a atacá-lo, de forma a proteger seus aliados mais vulneráveis. No nível máximo ele passa a contar com Thorns, se tornando um problema mesmo ao ser atingido.
A não ser que o oponente tenha bastante velocidade de movimento ou a habilidade True Strike, o Coeurl Lurker pode desviar de diversos ataques por vários rounds, não precisando contar com habilidades de suporte como Tank Heal ou Repair para cumprir com o papel de Tank.
A estratégia antes da batalha
A batalha contava com as regras Heavy Hitters e Spreading Fury, haviam 52 de MP disponíveis e apenas os Splinters da Vida, da Morte e do Dragão estavam ativos. A fim de me aproveitar da regra Spreading Fury busquei utilizar o Coeurl Lurker como tanque. Para aumentar a evasão dele busquei maximizar os buffs Swiftness e os debuffs Slow e para isto precisava utilizar o Splinter Dragão.
Desta forma selecionei o Summoner Quix the Devious devido ao seu debuff na velocidade de movimento inimiga. Para auxiliar o Coeurl Lurker coloquei o Venator Kinjo na segunda posição Slow. O Venator teria uma função secundária protegendo os demais aliados do dano do Blast caso houvesse. Na terceira posição coloquei o Baby Unicorn com Strengthen e Swiftness. Na quarta posição coloquei o Spirit Miner com Dodge, Swiftness e Blind, essa última habilidade para ampliar ainda mais a esquiva de meu tanque. Na quinta posição coloquei o Diamond Dragon com Slow e Cleanse, esta última habilidade importante para remover qualquer debuff de meu tanque, principalmente o Slow. Na sexta posição coloquei o Supply Runner com Swiftness.
Meu objetivo era utilizar a diferença de velocidade de movimento entre meu tanque e meus inimigos como defesa. Como dito anteriormente o ponto fraco desta estratégia é a presença de monstros com True Strike, logo me restava torcer que meu oponente não viesse com essa habilidade e para minha sorte isto não aconteceu:
A batalha
Meu oponente veio com o Summoner Grandmaster Rathe, com o Shieldbearer como tanque com Taunt e Shield. Na segunda posição ele contava com a Adelade Brightwing com Repair, Resurrect, e Immunity. Na terceira posição estava a Djinn Renova com Strengthen e Triage. Na quarta posição tinha Lunakari Mistress com Oppress e Cripple. Na quinta posição ele colocou a Time Mage com Slow e Rust e na última posição estava o Defender of Truth com Protect.
O objetivo de meu oponente era fazer eu perder o maior número de rounds possível atacando o seu tanque até que seus aliados realizassem uma abertura na minha linha de frente. Uma estratégia que costuma trazer bons resultados, mas ao não se preocupar com a velocidade de movimento de seus aliados ele acabou em apuros.
O Shieldbearer resistiu bem aos ataques por 02 rounds, mas no terceiro ele foi eliminado pela primeira vez. A Adelade Brightwing fez o favor de devolvê-lo ao campo de batalha. O meu tanque não tinha recebido nenhum ataque até este momento.
Após aguentar mais alguns golpes, o Shieldbearer foi eliminado novamente no quinto round. E o Coeurl Lurker seguia sem nenhum arranhão.
No sétimo round a Adelade Brightwing foi retirada da partida. O meu tanque seguia desviando de todos os golpes.
No oitavo round foi a vez da Djinn Renova dizer adeus à partida. Neste round o meu tanque recebeu um golpe, ativando o Enrage e ficando ainda mais rápido.
No nono round a Lunakari Mistress foi abatida.
No décimo round a Time Mage saiu do jogo.
No décimo primeiro round o Defender of Truth foi abatido, me garantindo a vitória.
O Coeurl Lurker provou ser uma carta extremamente poderosa de forma receber apenas um ataque em 11 rounds. A estratégia se mostrou muito eficiente, de forma que com apenas 38 MP utilizados dos 52 disponíveis foi possível neutralizar quase todos os ataques do meu oponente.
