So far looks like we have not hit the bottom where the bots will not sell yet I have been slowly testing this with Centauri packs to see how far I can get the bot to lower its price by posting a 1 pack sell order constantly lower than the bot but higher than the bid. Right now it has brought prices down for 4 packs from the high of 6 ish on the ask to 4.24 and likely below the latest price I put in at 4.15 which has seemed to impact the bid as well which is lower by about 1 hive as well from the previous 4 hive bid price. If I keep slowly lowering the ask I wonder how far the bot will go until it does not post a 4 pack sell order which will likely be refilled each time someone buys the 4 packs as well until there inventory is out. People buying spliterlands assets on the market like this should be aware that they can likely manipulate the bots into selling for a lower price than they currently are especially if the bid ask spread is wide. The wider the spread the more likely you can lower the prices slowly and get people or bots to keep out bidding you until you get the price you want then you can start buying the asset at the low price from the bot for as many as they will sell to you. I am going to see how far I can push the bot down before it stops beating my one pack ask as a experiment. I do not plan on buying any additional packs right now just plan on selling some which are reflected in the ask orders as i dont plan on playing the game right now as that is to much of a investment to add in when SPL is still recovering. Deff cant take a chance on any other games when the main game is still delivering on the items that they have promised so I will be on the side lines with the assets i have managing those until i get a better feel for where things are going. I dont plan on doing any of the promos unless i can get a title for pretty cheap while doing it and as of now it looks like i might be able to get on the leaderboard for relatively inexpensive purchases which might be worth it if i can get some of the rewards to sell or use on my two plots of land that I have running at full capacity producing grain which i just sell in the market right now for dec. I am hoping I can sell some of my excess plots if the marketing push is successful at getting some new players to come in which would definitely increase the price of land to where i would likely sell some of my plots as leaving them doing nothing is not a good use of capital and i dont plan on buying the cards to make them productive either and adding current cards and dec to the land does not come out to a great roi so the dec is better utilized either in the lps, holding it or swapping for a different asset like btc etc. Until there is more demand i likely wont sell any plots as mine are listed at the higher prices as i dont plan on giving them away at what i think is the bottom so i listed them at prices that i would sell at so when the demand does arrive and inventory gets eaten up then there my plots will be at some point and they will hopefully get scooped up and i can then re deploy those assets into more liquid things like holding them in the dec-usdc lp which gets a decent ROI and is completely liquid as well as using it to remove additional risk from my portfolio which I will do into strength if we get additonal demand so that i can get my portfolio to a level of risk i am comfortable with now bc as of this moment i still am to heavily into splinterlands for my risk tolerance but i wont fire sale my assets either as i have been slowly able to sell off unneeded assets that don't fit into my plan of being just completely passive going forward and only playing brawls with my soul bound accounts to get additional sps which is the only active thing i will be doing and playing 8 accounts is enough battles for me in brawls to have fun with. My challenge is to see how much i can win still using only the soulbound cards i earned and a few additional cards when not listed for rent which I have done with most of my cards now. Most of my collection is listed on the rental market and anything that didnt rent well or had gone up in value since i bought it i have listed for sale but most of my collection is listed for rent so i can hold until i get the chance to sell into demand and get the prices i want and eventually my goal is to have most of my assets in dec, sps and hive for spl so i can just get fee income and rents from them rather than have to always buy the new set etc to compete and make money which can be done by a few people if you are willing to spend a lot and get scholars etc as most botting isnt really profitable unless you have a top tier collection which would cost a ton of money to get right now but its still profitable for people who have held onto the assets over time bc there cost has long been returned to them most likely and they can ride out the lulls with lower aprs but those low aprs are still really high for there cost basis so it is still a good investment for them to say have there cards on land bc the cards cost them maybe a few dollars or were free as a reward etc and now putting them on land is actually worth it for anyone who has held older assets bc that low return for most people coming in now buying land is not that low for them in terms of apr. I was trying to see if i could rent out my soulbound accounts and build those up with bots before but since the wild pass made botting basically a zero profit game and unlocking of soul bound cards is way to expensive to be a reward other than the chance to speculate on the price which may be a good thing to do on some of them as prices may go wild for a few that dont get many unlocked but end up being really popular but i dont know which ones those will be so i dont plan on unlocking any cards at 10x - 15x unless i see a clear arbitrage opportunity when demand comes in from new players if the cards are all of the sudden listed at higher than there unlock cost during the window then i may unlock them and see if i can sell them one at a time for a small profit but not unitl i know i can profit off of them. If i cant they will remain soul bound and used for brawls to get gladious cards to make my brawl decks a bit stronger and complete as many gladious collections as i can if any since i probably win a 1 to 3 with each account most of which are likely people fleeing lol sometimes i get lucky and actually win but the wins mostly come from the rest of the guild that i just have upgraded for free since i already have the gp so everyone benefits from the discount's but i get to play with my 8-9 accounts that dont win a lot and get rewarded with the sps from the brawls any way which is my compensation for upgrading the guild originally. Also right now being passive and participating in the collection of fees and rents seems to be the best way for me to profit as well as the most consistent way to not be impacted by the frequent changes in the game which have killed various strategies i have had and caused me to lose money as i thought things were going to be x and they end up being changed to y on a whim it seems so i have to step back and go for the most predictable returns as well so i dont bleed money.
