Its normal that most times we don't get what we really want to achieve. This sometimes leads to deflation of our egos and make us hapless.

While happiness is a feeling, optimism is a belief that some or all aspects of your future will turn out better. Also, while your happiness can fluctuate sometimes, remaining positive can usually be pretty stable.
Having a list of good things which has happened to you when you're feeling down or in bad situations can help you remain optimistic and don't forget to do what optimist do:
