Download SYNX WALLET for Mac : https://github.com/SyndicateLtd/SyndicateQT/releases/tag/v1.9.1
If you have a hard time opening the wallet, don't panic just yet.
Download the blockchain here: https://transfer.sh/13BiaI/Syndicate_blockchain_2017_09_28.zip
Unzip it, and put the files inside this folder:
~Library/Application Support/Syndicate
Overwrite the files there.
Note:
if you can't find the folder, press SHIFT + COMMAND + L on your desktop, it will go right up to the Library folder.Try to reopen the wallet. Wait for it to sync up with the rest of the blockchain.
Send at least 5001 SYNX to your wallet address (this is to keep up with the fee later)
On your Syndicate Wallet, go to HELP > DEBUG WINDOW
Click 'CONSOLE' tab
Type:
getnewaddress Masternode1. It will generate address. Keep this address in a safeplace.Send 5000 SYNX exactly to this address. (Basically, you make payment to yourself)
Type:
masternode genkey. It will generate private key of that address. Keep this private key in a safeplace. You will need this later.Type:
masternode outputs. It will generate transaction hash and index number. Keep this hash in a safeplace. You will need this later.Set up VPS on Vultr or Digital Ocean. Pay some money to your account to deploy a server, USD 5 is enough to keep a server running for a month.
Deploy a new server. Server Type: Ubuntu 14.04. Server Size: 5$/month. 1GB memory.
Once you deploy new server. It will give you IP address, username, and password. Keep this in the safe place.
Run TERMINAL application on your Mac. (Go to search, and type
terminal)On TERMINAL, type:
ssh root@<ip_address_of_your_new_deployed_server>It will ask you the question, just type
yesInput the password they give you from your newly deployed server.
Then, type this:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/u3mur4/syndicate/master/synx.py && python synx.py
(credit: uemura https://github.com/u3mur4/syndicate#3-faq)It might take a while, until it finishes extracting and compiling, and then will ask you question how many masternodes to setup. Just answer what you like.
When it asks you for the private key, just input the private key from step.11
NOW, go back to your Syndicate Wallet
Click on
MASTERNODEStab on the left.Click
CREATE..INPUT:
alias: masternode1
address: <ip_address_from_your_deployed_server_from_step_15>
privkey: <your_private_key_from_step_11>
