The amount of people who have a difficult time grasping the concept of individual liberty is quite astounding. Because of this reality the coercion continues to thrive and imo it will always continue to thrive. Because even for some of those who have convinced themselves that they are some sort of liberty supporter, they might even refer to themselves as libertarian, they still will end up supporting the violation of individual liberty in one way or another.
Some fools might actually try to push the narrative that those who value individual liberty too consistently are pushing for no organization, they want no government and no rules, they want 'anarchy', but this by definition is false.
Organization is one of the most powerful tools that humans can use to prosper and voluntary organization is far superior to coerced organization which is what we have known for many centuries. Forcing someone to do something against their will should be regarded as immoral, but we see today it is instead generally accepted all over the world in many circumstances.
Why is it that the people are struggling to truly grasp individual liberty? We know that they are more than likely to support it for themselves too. The real test comes though when it is regarding those who you don't like or don't support, will you support their liberty to live peacefully according to their will? To speak their mind? To consume a plant you might not agree with? And many will not.
Would anyone interested in peace and liberty ever be caught promoting or defending state orthodoxy over consistent individual liberty principles? No, they wouldn't.
Billions of people are comfortable in wanting to use violence through the mob to control communities, streets, homes, lives, and tell others who to conduct themselves. Anyone who engages in this behavior is stepping out of the position of defending liberty and stepping into one of being an aggressor and violating others through the state.
The state over the years has engaged in tremendous evil and tyranny against innocent people.
This has been the case all over the world and there are no official statistics for how many have been murdered as a result of state violence.
When that violence continues to violate individual liberty it doesn't take long to find out who is going to be consistent in defending the people and who is going to be a chump for the mob.
