A few weeks back I stumbled over a post with a bounty added to it. I immediately became curious as I read the "bounty-added-comment" from @steem-bounty, clicked on it and also read their How to create a bounty guide.
Since that point I'm hooked on the idea and vision of @steem-bounty and decided to spread the word about this great addition to further reward the engaging community.
Every single one of us knows the feeling when you just see the common spam comments under your posts after hours of writing, formatting and double-checking. And a short feeling of not being appreciated let us doubt what we are doing.
That's why I was so excited after I found out about @steem-bounty. For those of you that don't know about this awesome project first let me tell you quickly what it is all about.
@steem-bounty just got one year last week and was founded and managed by @knircky. Basically @steem-bounty lets you further encourage and reward engagement on your posts. For this you just send some SBD or STEEM to @steem-bounty with the post-url of the post you want to add a bounty on in the memo. After a minutes @steem-bounty will automatically comment on your post to let you and everybody else reading the post know a bounty was set and the amount of that bounty.
The distribution of the bounty works as followed: 80% of the bounty will be distributed on all the comments the bounty owner (that would be you) votes on depending on the vote weight percentage of every vote given. The other 20% will be distributed on all comments the community votes on again depending on the vote weight percentage of every vote given.
In case of spammers or unappreciated comments the bounty owner is able to downvote (using any vote weight he wants) and the downvoted user won't get a share of the bounty.
Also @knircky just published @steem-bounty 's official website: https://www.steem-bounty.com
This website offering an overview of all the active bounties at the moment and let you search them by amount of the bounty, expiration date, adding date and the tagged categories all embedded in a nice modern layout:
Keep up the good work!
