A sketch of The Church of Our Lady of Fatima in Brickfields, KL.
When i started sketching at 11am the church was full of people attending Sunday prayers, the sky was already shown some dark shades. Halfway through the sketch suddenly the rain pour heavily. I have to save my bag and other things to get under the covered walkway so i accidently left the drawing i did soaked by the heavy downpour. 😅 so i carry on with wet-on-wet technique, let it dry and pen it with carbon ink...and voila! 😁
This was done last Sunday, when our group KL Sketchnation (www.klsketchnation.com) had our usual forthnight sketch walk session in Little India..
And there was about 30 people turn-ups from all spectrum of level, the beginners, intermediate and pro despite the gloomy weather and the heavy downpour!
We also had an impressionist watercolour drawing technique demonstration by one of our committee Jerome Liew.
The last activity of the day, we had a public vote, and these 6 were voted the best works and were given a special gift from KLSketchnation!
And i did one more quick small 10 min sketch before i went back. 😁
Its an open event, everyone is always welcome so join us next time! 😁
