This is the resent blood test. The white blood count (WBC) is 3.6. That is the low end of the normal range. Over all this is a very good blood test for a person on a high dose chemo.
From the report I posted the other day and what I mentioned from the Doctor consult protocol might change. Here is one of the changes
What we have above is a series of syringes to be taken for 7 days. The purpose is to boost the WBC increasing the immune system. As you can see from the blood test result the WBC is within tolerance. Tuesday we will do a blood test which is the 5th day of the injections. The increase in WBC might clear up the Dead cancer cells to include getting the ones that are weak from the chemo . Along with other benefits that I do not have the knowledge to relay with any certainty.
I have taken these injection before. Cycle 1 day 4. The WBC was way lower along with the other counts. Which of course was why the ejection. This time a little different purpose.
If this works and we go into cycle 5 there might not be a need for cycle 6 at this time. Giving me more time to recover from all the damage that I have sustained from the chemo treatments. What this does is make it possible to do chemo at the same level as before in the event the cancer comes back within the 3 month window. If it comes back within the 3 months after cycle 6 a reduced chemo would have to be used lessening the effect for recovery. Due to only having 5 cycles this would not apply.
Now all this is contingent upon the results of another CT scan prior to cycle 6 . There are many reason that could come up from the report giving reason for cycle 6. Both good and not so good. Right now thats a little down the road to consider deeply.

The amount of people who I have encounter who have cancer is staggering. We tend to live in bubbles and rarely see outside of it unless it has a major impact on our lives. Maybe one reason is that our circle is small and time is not available to look into everything we encounter on a daily biases . We pick and choose the ones that impact or interest us.
Cancer is an all consuming disease that takes over all aspects of life.
