Here is a nice little guide I made for @saan007 for new users to copy their Private Posting key in 1. Wallet 2. Permissions and then 3. Click "Show Private key" and 4. Copy the Private Posting Key (Many New Users just copy the PUBLIC one without clicking the button to show the private key!
Anyway This works for Steemconnect, @steepshot @dsound https://dsound.audio busy.org and many other front ends from https://d.tube to https://dlive.io and so I hope this frees you up now to use your Steem Posting key to be SAFE and that is because Posting keys , even if stolen, cannot change your password or steal any liquid money they can only make posts (and delete them but revisions can be found on the blockchain thankfully so any damage deleting posts in the last 7 days can be reversed, and all upvotes or flags made with your stolen private posting key can also be un-done and fixed/explained etc, in fact you may even get sympathy votes once you have changed your Master Key and have a new posting key and the attack has stopped. This is what can happen if you do loose your posting key but it is better than if you loose Active Key. if you loose Private Active Key you risk having your liquid Steem and SBD that is not powered upo oir in savings, stolen from you. But that is why Steempower is so great it requires 13 week powerdown and first payout takes 7 days so you have time to change your Owner Key/Master Password. So as long as you dont loose the Owner Key WIF/private Master Key, then you can always change it yourself. Posting key is just for posting and upvoting, Active is just for spending non vested liquid steem or SBD and memo key is just for reading encrypted posts that you can write to someone on their blogs or wallet memos. Anyway this should educate new users on how we have multiple layers of keys that keep steem users safe. Always backup your keys on paper and on Lastpass or cloud storage of your choice I like https://lastpass.com it is free and has multifactor so more than just 2FA but optional 3FA etc.
