I have been reluctant about introducing steemit to friends. The reason is understandable. A good number of close friends and associates that I introduced to steemit did not take it as something worth doing. Some dismissed it as one of those programmes that will certainly crash in a matter time. Others seem it to have time for it - surprisingly they have time for Facebook. So after trying to tell a few others about steemit, I gave up and decided to do it for myself..
Until now, I did not see how I will loose if I did not tell people about steemit. SO you understand why I kept things for myself. Then came the airdrop that made waves on Steemit since last week - the Byteball airdrop. If you have not heard about it, you probably dont use technology.
So Byteball airdrop rewarded people more in addition to taking their own share based on their reputation. The referral program of Byteball rewarded people with extra Byteball tokens for bringing friends to Byteball through them.
I heard someone say they made close to $1000 just from the referral program. This is a big reward for bringing people to steemit and for all the efforts made in teaching people how to do everything on Steemit.
I will not like to say much on this. I better act out what I wanted to write. It pays to bring people to steemit. It pays to do the networking. It pays to have referrals. Byteball has shown that it pays. I will go back to my unbelieving friends and try to convince them
