As a new Steem user, I figured I would post an introduction so other posters could get to know me. My friend Steve (@stever82) invited me to Seem and I am really excited to start posting here.
First and foremost, I am a father and husband. Everything I do is for my wife and kids. I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and I am a teacher. My entire adult life has basically been dedicated to the service of others. I hold degrees in secondary education and history, as well as a masters in political science.
I love the political area and politics in general. I teach high school government so I try to keep up on what is going on to help my students engage with this arena as much as possible. On my personal time away from education and my work I am very conservative in my political beliefs. My time at war has made me question my own government, their decisions, and how they make those decisions especially in terms of how our government engages with other nations. I suffer from PTSD and this is something that certainly impacts me every day, but I have started to slowly open up about it. I look forward to exploring all political topics a bit more here with my posts.
I look forward to reading more blog posts on this site and engaging with people as much as I can. I am glad to be part of this new community.
