If for some reason you want to send your post rewards including SP to another account there is a way to do that.
Use Case Examples
- You may have the posting key of an organisation account and want to send the post rewards for your own post to your own personal account.
- You may want to post something to say thank you to somebody and send the rewards for your thank you post to the person you are thanking.
- You may have more than one account but wish to send your SP to a separate account from the one you post from.
Beneficiaries
If you look at posts on steemd.com and click on Advanced mode you can see a lot of data from the blockchain about this post. One of the things listed is "beneficiaries". Beneficiaries are the accounts which are receiving a percentage of the post rewards. You can see where beneficiaries are listed in the screenshot below.
You can see from the screenshot that there are 4 beneficiaries in this post.
@dmania @lafona-miner @xeldal @zombee
The weight shows what % of the post rewards are going to the beneficiary listed.
Weight : 1 is equal to 0.01%
Therefore weight 1,000 is actually 10%
And weight 500 is 5%
You can see from adding these beneficiaries up that they are receiving a total of 25%* of the authors post rewards. So the author is receiving 75% of the rewards shown just before the time of the payout.
*(This is the price several of the 3rd party applications are charging their users to use the platform)
HOW TO DO IT
- First go to https://steemwhales.com/post/
- Fill in the title and skip permalink - that will fill itself in after title.
- Fill in your content and tags just as you would on steemit.
- Under "Beneficiaries" click
+Add
and the box below should pop up.
- Enter the name of the person you want to send your post rewards to, then enter the percentage of the rewards you would like them to receive. For example in the image above I am sending @neander-squirrel 100% of my post rewards. That means that 0% of the rewards will be paid out to me.
- Finally, enter your steem account name next to Author Username and fill in your POSTING KEY* below. You can ignore Steem Dollars % and Max accepted payout and leave them as they are unless you want to deny payout or lose money by powering up 100%.
