THE STORY
This fundraising page has been set up to help pay for life extending treatments, medical bills, and medical equipment for Rebecca (36), to give her more time with her fiance' Rick and their 4 kids: Aiden (7), Rachel (13), Leeroy (16) and Joe (18).
Rebecca was first diagnosed with Stage 3C Rectal Cancer in Sept. 2014. She went through chemo, radiation, surgery and then more chemo to help get rid of the cancer. Unfortunately the cancer came back in Sept. 2016 and she now has Stage 4 Locally Recurrent Rectal Cancer.
The cancer is in the S1-S2 of her sacrum as well as spreading into the hip and tail bone. Due to its location it can not be removed without doing what they called a 'Morbid' surgery which does not guarantee she would survive it or that the cancer would be completely gone from her body. The location of the tumor rests on her sciatic and other nerves causing paralyses and constant pain the shoots from her hip to foot and back up again on an almost constant basis.
She was diagnosed with drop foot and has to walk with a cane at all times but needs a walker and/or scooter to remain mobile which she cannot afford. Rebecca also suffers from PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and an extreme version of Irritable Bowl Syndrome.
Despite this devastating prognosis, Rebecca and Rick have refused to accept this death sentence and are seeking out alternative treatments plans. Those are very expensive so we are attempting to raise enough money for all of the medicines, supplements, follow up appointments, tests, travel costs and accommodation that will be required to complete the treatment plans that would extend her life and maybe even rid her of the cancer altogether.
Please help Rebecca and her family raise this money so that they can fight for her life. Her wonderful children would love nothing more than to have their mom be around to see them to continue to grow up.
