Steem Alliance had a vote last night and I know it was the first one ,but it needs to be improved. I don't blame the working group that was doing it either. This is not their fault as they did the best they could. I think constructive criticism is good and improving is what we need to do.
The time factor was the issue and it was rushed through. I have no idea why Steemit wanted it through immediately and is such a priority. I have some thoughts on why, but I am not going to start rumors either.I will keep quiet ,but this comes across to me as just odd. What difference would one week extra have made, maybe nothing I don't know.
I was a little disappointed by the candidates though and not having a dig at those that had put their hands up either.I think I knew 3 candidates out of 24 and when I looked at the nominees profiles on the discord only a few had bothered to load them up.I am still in the dark with most of them.
When I went to vote which was about 4 hours after the voting opened I had a quick look at the candidates and some were still loading their profiles. A huge oversight by some as not everyone knows who you are and what you can do.I may have voted very differently if I had more information on the candidates.
I know this was the first one and hopefully others will be smoother in the future. I take my hat off to everyone that helped with this as it was a mammoth effort and not everyone appreciates what needed to be done.
