I was bothered by a new steemian yesterday via Partiko messaging, and the way he/she ask is rather rude and I decided unfollow. One o the question is, "u take money out from steem or not?". Trust me the translation is exactly this way, no opening, no ending, straightaway fired up a rude question which I took offense.
Despite I was offended, I took the trouble dug up one of my old post, my very first time selling steem for fiat. If you're interested, feel free to read it from my old post here.
Now this brings back all the good old memories. During that time I took out all my 15 liquid steems, suddenly someone invited me to BHB for a burger meal, and I got no steem to pay for a meal. What a shame, going for a Steem related meet up at a Steem burger shop, to pay with fiat? Few weeks ago when steemslotgame launched their referral program, that point of time I just powered up some 100steems, and guess what, I couldn't even find 10 steems to participate and had to patiently wait for post payout.
This brings me to a conclusion, Steem is a very important "currency". It is not only an application token! It has a real cash value on it. I remember few days ago someone asked me why don't I power up everything and delegate them out for receiving daily payout. I'm telling you know, I need to take back some delegation for my own upvote use. I need to keep some buffer of liquid fund, just in case if I need some steem to eat some burger at the Steem burger shop!
I may be keeping some "cash in hand", but believe me I will be continuously powering up and upvote all my friends. You may skip the Chinese part as I was explaining to my friend regarding why would I lower down my voting weight.
