Yep, I bought a web domain http://steem-news.com.
It happened this morning and I wasn't planning that. The thing that triggered me to make that move was a recent Byteball airdrop. I learned about the airdrop on the second day thanks to the info provided by @moon32walker, but I can still find many new posts from the people who just found out about it and, ironically, the most of them act like they found out the first and that this is still a brand new information. Steemit users mostly find out about steem-related news from their feeds or on Discord chat, many of the noobs don't know who to follow to get the right information on the right time.
Since I don't work now, I have plenty of time to search Steemit the whole days and, possibly, paste some important links of the announcement posts and the blockchain news on my own website.
I am not a web designer, I am just wannabe web programmer, but it was too easy to go to GoDaddy.com and buy this web domain for 1.40$.
For now, I used a template from GoDaddy to design the website, that's why it looks a little bit "poor". I will ask some people for some help to create a proper graphical design for the site.
At the moment, just for needs of testing, there is the only one link to my own Steemit post about the SteemShutter update. But I'm going to work a lot on this and this is how it will work:
- I will handpick 5 - 20 posts on Steemit every day to paste their links to my website.
- I will create a Steemit account for the website (@steem-news is taken and it is for sale but I can't contact the seller) to contact the users whose posts I linked to http://steem-news.com.
- I will need some help to search all these posts and choose what to pick so I will include more people in this project.
This is the type of content that I want to link from my website:
- News about the Steemit platform and the hardforks
- News about Steem and SBD market
- Important info about SMT tokens
- Information about giveaways, airdrops and other ways you can get the free money
- Announcements about biggest contests and prizes on Steem blockchain
- Warning info about hacked accounts
- Info about the new tools and projects in which Steemers are included
- And some drama, of course...
I want to involve other people in this project. Any volunteers?
And I want YOU to paste me the links you think that they would fit http://steem-news.com.
I have to make some preparations and the full service should be active in a week. For now, you can find only one of my posts there.
So, what do you think? Did I go crazy again or this could be really useful?
