Today a new post from the official LBRY account has announced they will be giving 250 LBC tokens for steemians -yes, they called us in that way- which go and create an account on that platform.
This post has been published in order to ask for the corresponding rewards.
Since latest LBRY updates, there are a few people which are also publishing text content, not only videos. Audio files can be published, too, but you would need your own player, as last time I checked it the app wasn't able to play it; you would need to download the audio file and use another software, instead.
There is no native monetization feature here, but the platform offers a tipping feature which has been available since almost the beginning. You could also publish content and ask for a certain amount of LBC to consume it, a fixed amount or the corresponding LBC/USD amount you specify. Everyday you could get at least 1 LBC when you consume any content; maximum is 100 LBC, which once I got. There are also lots of other rewards quite easy to get.

You will only be asked for an email address for creating an account. For rewards there are addition requirements, but believe me it is worthy. I think they only need a telephone number.
