It’s a social network that rewards you for your contributions.
You have a chance to get paid for writing quality blog posts. Sometimes you get paid a lot. The Steemit website is similar to Quora, Facebook or other social platforms.
Its just like you are posting something on quora and people like your post, so they upvote it. The more upvotes you get the more you earn.

Technology: Steemit is based on Blockchain technology, yes the same technology which bitcoin works on. We all know the success of Bitcoin. The currency of Steemit is Steem and they way to mine Steem is by blogging.
Steemit is still in beta version and has a capability of surpassing all the social networks.
