As the days go by I'm starting to see more and more doubt radiating from user comments. This is pretty natural, some people have been posting for weeks and haven't made so much as a dollar, however this shouldn't put you off.
Odds are if you are feeling put off by this, It's because you are here for the money, this is wrong. Steemit Strives on producing quality content, informative, useful and funny posts that people actually want to read. If you're writing for the sake of money, you'll be focusing on what you think will be the most successful post, you aren't putting your heart into the subject, you're doing a job.
If you look at a large amount of high profiting posts, they're created by people with experience in it, people who live and breathe either the subject they're writing about, or the actual act of writing. If it's the latter then they will have researched the subject they're writing about, because they know that writing about a subject they know nothing about doesn't produce the best quality content.
I'll use @dollarvigilante as my example.
People may look at him and think; "I've put much more effort in, I've made way more posts but still haven't made any money*
Well look at his content. This is a man that literally lives to write, he owns a very successful newsletter . Aside from that he also owns a business that's very closely tied to Blockchains. A lot of his life involves working with the very subject this website is founded on.
So my advice to you is to stop posting just anything you think will be popular, take your time to sit down and think to yourself; "what am I really passionate about". Find the subject you're willing to pour your heart into and stick with it because at the end of the day, even if you don't make money doing with it, at least you're enjoying the time you spent.
