Is there any Point to Steemit when no one reads or upvotes your posts

I am thinking of just deactivating my Steemit account. No one reads or upvotes my posts. There just doesn't seem to be any point. I will never earn enough Steem at this rate to make it worth my while. I try and write meaningful and thoughtful posts. They are unread. I predict that I will be deactivating within the week.
