I was going over my witness votes this morning and decided to give one of my votes to: @mahdiyari. I thought I might do a post on how to vote for him if you choose to do so, or anyone not in the check box.

First: What is a witness?

A: They are the ones's who run the nodes that make the Steemit blockchain happen. They also have votes to changes or modify certain things within the Steemit Blockchain. That is the very short answer as there is lots of info on what a witness really does.

Why should I vote for a witness?

A: Voting for a legitimate witness overall helps the Steemit Community grow and helps the platform evolve. People you respect and trust should be the people who determine the direction we should be going as a community should they not?

Ok how do I vote?

A: There is two ways: Click Voting (Top 50) and Manual Voting (Write In). If you want to vote for someone like @mahdiyari you will need to typle their name in to the box.
